Members of Maeda-lab as a part of Tohoku university team in SATREPS project surveyed several existing governmental buildings in Bangladesh to assess their seismic vulnerability, from the period of 21st ~ 25th of January 2018. Other counterparts from Public Works Department of Bangladesh , Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST)  as well as other participants from another JICA project (BSPP) worked together in the survey. 
The investigation included: Sketching of as-built drawings including infill walls, reinforcement scanning using Gamma-Radiography, in-site masonry shear test and other non-destructive tests (NDT) such as Schmidt hammer and Windsor-pin for columns and masonry infill walls.
